We have been making these saddle bags since 1988. The tops are all made from 'split to thickness' Hermann Oak natural skirting leather. The backs of the saddle bag are made from full thickness skirting leather. The gusset is sewn in with a front welt which not only looks great but saves the heavy sewing thread from abrasion and wear. After construction the saddle bag is oiled and finished for longevity. The straps are 5/8 inch PVC coated webbing and the hardware is all polished stainless steel and includes a tie-down dee. We make these bags in two sizes. The small size measures 8 1/2 inches wide x 7 inches deep with a 3 inch gusset. The large size measures 9 3/4 inches wide x 8 inches deep with a 3 inch gusset.
